The Emerging Health Technologies Media Award of Excellence aims to advance public awareness and discourse on emerging health technologies and their potential to improve health and save millions of lives on the African continent. These EHTs, which include gene drives for malaria control, artificial intelligence, drones, and microgrids, have been prioritised by the African Union based on the significant impact they could have in positively transforming the health of the continent.  

 

The Award will be launched on 31 August 2022 in a virtual event at 2–3 p.m EAT.
