Dr William Wasswa on why APET is key in the AU's structure

Dr William Wasswa emphasised that a group like the African Union High-Level Panel on Emerging Technologies (APET) plays a crucial role within the African Union's structure. It helps monitor transformative technologies, observe trends, and assess associated risks, ensuring that Africa is well-positioned to maximise the benefits of these technologies. Dr Wasswa spoke on the sidelines of APET's second statutory meeting in Lilongwe, Malawi on 2-3 September 2024.
